The Mt. Hakodate Ropeway is made of the latest technology developed by the technical tie-up of Pomagalske Corporation from France, and of Ansaku. The ropeway gondola is the product of the Svoboda Corporation from Austria . The capacity of one is 125 persons.
The ropeway gondola is in its fourth generation now, the first held 30 persons, the second 44 persons, and from the third 125 persons. The top speed is 7 meters per second. 334 meters of smooth, comfortable and exciting ride above the ocean to the mountain top takes approximately 3 minutes.
Hakodate is one of the world three major night views lining up with Naples and Hong Kong . It is also known to the world as the “million $ night view”
